Kochevar Endodontic Insurance Information
There’s nothing more important to us than a patient receiving the care they need. Endodontic issues such as a root canal or treatment of a traumatic injury are generally sudden issues that don’t allow for much preparation on your part. Many of our patients and potential patients have questions with regards to insurance claims and coverage. We try to answer a few of those questions here.
Does My Insurance Cover an Endodontic Specialist?
Since the specifics of insurance coveragve vary from plan to plan, we can’t give you a definitive answer to this question. In general most insurance providers will not be concerned with who performs your dental procedure, and will instead focus on the treatment itself.
How Does Insurance Work With a Specialist vs. a General Dentist?
Dental insurance will typically cover at least some of the cost of a root canal. Insurance specifics, such as the fixed amount or percentage of the cost that you are responsible for and how much your insurance will cover is unique to your plan. That being said, it doesn’t matter whether you are seen by a specialist or a general dentist. Insurance companies are covering the treatment, not who provides the treatment. However, there may be a cap to the amount of root canals your insurance will cover per calendar year. You should also check to see if you have met your deductible. We encourage you to read the finer details of your plan, or call your provider for more details.
How Will You Help Me With My Insurance?
We accept most major insurance companies and can submit claims on your behalf. Even if we don’t directly accept your insurance provider we will still contact them and see if we can work with them to cover your treatment with us. We understand that an endodontic treatment can be unexpected, but be assured that we will work with you and your insurance provider to resolve any issues. Please contact our office to find out more regarding your insurance and treatment by an endodontic specialist.
